Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm Monday – Friday.
(Hours & days subject to change based on
departmental needed)

 

The Ultrasound Technologist
independently performs quality diagnostic breast ultrasounds and assists the
radiologist with ultrasound guided invasive procedures. A high emphasis is
placed on providing outstanding patient care and customer service. Strict
adherence to hospital infection control policies, JCAHO rules and ACR standards
are a must. Employee will comply with departmental protocols and will act under
the supervision of the lead interpreting radiologist and department supervisor.


Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: proper operation of and
care for equipment, demonstrating competence with our EMR and reporting
systems, summarizing exam findings and communicating the impression to the
radiologist at the completion of each exam. Accuracy in the performance of
exams is required with a willingness to learn and perform all procedures now
being done and new procedures as necessary. The successful candidate will work
closely with Radiologists to not only perform exams but to assist in training
of Residents, Fellows, and Students assigned to the area. Maintains CE Credits
as directed by ARDMS. Must be ARDMS registered or registry eligible. **TO RECEIVE

 ','!*!Completion of a twelve (12) month program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or General Ultrasound. RDMS registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire. Must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
