Patent Agent
The candidate reporting to the General Counsel, will be involved in the development and implementation of strategies to secure and protect Avidity's intellectual property. should have solid foundation in molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, immunology or related field and works closely with external patent counsel to manage intellectual property filings. Develop strategies for and conduct prior art database searches for patentability and freedom to operate analyses. Analyze patent and scientific papers and documents to assist with global patent prosecution and litigation. Work closely with scientists to capture innovations; review and analyze invention disclosures and proposed publications, and advise scientific and multidisciplinary project teams. Work closely with scientists to draft and prosecute high quality patent applications. Develop responses to office actions and prosecution strategies globally. Manage patent prosecution for in-licensed IP and collaboration-related IP matters. Assist with patent enforcement and/or challenge proceedings. Assist with the development and management of Avidity’s global patent portfolio.
