The RN Supervisor provides safe, effective, and efficient implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care. u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSu003c/strongu003eu003cbru003e• Demonstrates the Telecare mission, purpose, values, and beliefs in everyday language and contact with the internal and external stakeholdersu003cbru003e• Organizes, prioritizes, and delegates work on the assigned shiftu003cbru003e• Supervises designated staff u003cbru003e• Provides orientation and training; directs the recruitment, selection and, when necessary, disciplinary action for designated direct reportsu003cbru003e• Oversees and provides nursing careu003cbru003e• Completes nursing assessmentsu003cbru003e• Assists in the welcoming, admissions, and discharge processu003cbru003e• Establishes and maintains a therapeutic relationship with members servedu003cbru003e• Attends and participates in community meetings and groupsu003cbru003e• Actively participates in multidisciplinary team meetings and treatment planning meetings u003cbru003e• Coordinates and supervises admissions to assure accurate and complete documentation in the medical record and timely referral to the medical physicianu003cbru003e• Coordinates and participates in counting medications and giving report at the beginning and end of each shiftu003cbru003e• Reviews and maintains the amount, accuracy, and quality of documentation included in the medical records u003cbru003e• Demonstrates knowledge of crisis management and interventionu003cbru003e• Transcribes physician orders accurately and in a timely manneru003cbru003e• Administers medication and treatments to members servedu003cbru003e• Receives and presents change of shift report as assignedu003cbru003e• Adheres to medication management policies and procedures u003cbru003e• Notifies the prescriber and nursing Supervisor of any changes in behavior or conditionu003cbru003e• Documents the members served progress toward their Recovery Plan goalsu003cbru003e• Develops and implements nursing care plansu003cbru003e• If employed at Inpatient program, must assist with restraint of members served in the event of assaultive behavior and pass assault crisis/crisis prevention training.u003cbru003e• If employed at Outpatient program, must evade members served in the event of assaultive behavior and pass assault crisis/crisis prevention trainingu003cbru003eDuties and responsibilities may be added, deleted and/or changed at the discretion of management.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eQUALIFICATIONSu003c/strongu003eu003cbru003eRequired: u003cbru003e• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of program operations u003cbru003e• Valid CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation)/BLS (Basic Life Support) certificate u003cbru003e• Must be at least 18 years of ageu003cbru003e• Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment u003cbru003e• All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification.
