Duties: Lead overall management of Stitcher’s podcast production, licensing, and distribution agreements. Drive the concluding phases of the most complex, multi-million dollar negotiations to a successful close. Develop durable legal and business frameworks to be used by business affairs and business development team members, helping them translate business concepts into clear and concise contracts. Advise senior management on legal issues related to the company’s production, distribution and ad sales businesses to reduce operational risks and maximize new business opportunities. Provide guidance to senior management on the development of processes, structures and policies to help the company scale. Working with the office of legal counsel at Stitcher’s parent company, E.W. Scripps, successfully resolve other company legal issues.
