Essential Job Functions:


Implements mechanical ventilation, ongoing patient/ventilator management and assessment.

Advises physicians regarding therapy options as patient conditions warrant.

Assists and participates in emergency resuscitation to include, but not limited to, all phases of airway management.

Maintains equipment and supplies to assist physicians with all varieties of endoscopy and pulmonary diagnostic procedures.

Assumes principle responsibility for Respiratory Care Services/shift management in absence of a Team Leader.

Performs airway management such as intubations, trach care, endotracheal and tracheostomy tube changes and other related airway devices.

Develops plans for the delivery of Respiratory Care as directed by physicians or protocols and implements same in a timely manner.

Performs basic respiratory care.

Documents all necessary information in an accurate and timely manner relative to both patients and departmental activities. Cleans and prepares equipment in need of sterilization.','!*!Education:


Graduate of an AMA approved program of Respiratory Therapy plus licensure to practice in Nebraska required. 

One-year experience in proving respiratory services is preferred.

Pulmonary function testing, hemodynamic monitoring and bronchoscopy experience is preferred.
 
Licensure/Certification:

Registration (RRT) by that National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) is also required.

Valid Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ALCS) certification required. ','We’re an equal opportunity employer.
