Build a child proof hearth cover

Build a child proof hearth cover
We’re looking for a carpenter that can help us build a childproof cover for our fireplace hearth. We just moved into our new rented house and have a large fire place hearth that is dangerous for our three year old and one year old twins. The fireplace hearth is made out of sharp uneven stone tilling.
We saw this idea online and wanted to see if there’s a carpenter that can help us create it.
We’ve uploaded some pictures.
