To achieve this level of earnings requires that this technician / mechanic be able to diagnose and repair just about any problem on all makes and models, primarily Domestic and Japanese Import with some European. Experience with light truck Diesel would be a real plus. Proficiency with multiple types of scan tools and test equipment is a must.
Expect that the tech hired will have a substantial investment in tools ($50k or more) and a record of ongoing and current training. ASE Master Tech Certification with L1 would be ideal. However, this company will pay for ASE testing, assuming that the needed skill set and level of experience are documented.
