Manual QA Analyst-AS/400 Experience

CRT of Central Florida is now hiring several QA Analysts for the Tampa area. These are long term contracts with a potential to go perm in a year or so. The right candidate will be a mid level analyst and have strong Quality Center experience, manual test case writing experience, experience testing web applications, strong SQL Query writing experience. Nice to have is AS/400, but not required.
AS400 QA – 5 years: Self directed and experienced in all aspects of QA – planning, estimating, writing test cases, test execution, problem reporting, documentation Quality Center Healthcare, health insurance or pharmacy experience College degree and/or some Development experience SQL skills
Basic Function:
Responsible for the development, supervision and execution of the Quality Assurance plan and testing of application code with QA Contractor Analyst. Achieve and maintain superior content knowledge of assigned applications, new technology platforms and automated testing tools.
Major Responsibilities: (List job responsibilities in order of priority, i.e., list in order of greatest impact on the organization.) • Work with QA contractors and IT staff to perform Quality Assurance planning and testing, using the Quality Assurance Methodology and automated testing tools, on application code prior to production implementation in accordance with the business requirements, budget and timeline. • Work with the Project Manager to oversee the Quality Assurance planning, creation and execution of test cases and business flows by the contract QA Analyst for the projects assigned, within project budget and timeline. • Works with the QA team on QA Testing Methodology, QA Mechanized tools, and QA processes and procedures to ensure best practice enforcement, consistency of metrics reporting and positive project outcomes. • Works with IT, the user community and core project team to review and approve the Functional Requirements, Technical Specifications and QA strategy for the projects assigned by the Project Manager in accordance with the business requirements and QA standards. • Works with the Core Project Team to coordinate and gain business approval of the Quality Assurance Test Case execution during the User Acceptance Testing phase. • Works with the QA staff and project manager to gather and report all planning and testing task completion via the project management toolset for all assigned projects. • Works with Operations and applications departments to ensure all environment setup issues are addressed prior to initial code distribution and accepts and approves additional code builds into the existing QA environments. • Works with the QA team to explain and support the QA Methodology, Testing Automation and new technology and the benefits to the Core Team, user community and IT staff and Management. • Works with the QA staff and management to perform audits and provide input to assure all staff consistently use and continually improve the QA Methodology, Automation tool use and all IT processes.
