The candidate will guide and evaluate the learning process and professionalism. Will demonstrate a strong commitment to adult learning theory and student-centered learning. In addition, must successfully complete facilitator training program. This position is considered a “Responsible Employee” under Title IX federal regulations and “Mandatory Reporter” under Texas state law and Sexual Misconduct Policy. As a Mandatory Reporter this position requires as the employee to promptly report any incident that witness or receive information about violating Title IX. These reporting responsibilities are set out in the Sexual Misconduct Policy. Responsible for SIGS check-in and report-outs. Development and outbrief among SIGS facilitator. SIGS outbrief with the unit director. Check learner weekly formative assessments. Guide and evaluate the learning process and professionalism. Strong commitment to adult learning theory and student-centered learning. Other duties as assigned. Should have knowledge of and commitment to the mission, vision, and guiding principles of university. Must have ability to collaborate effectively with administration, staff, peers, faculty, and community-based partners. Should have strong interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and motivation to learn and contribute to the growth and development of university. DO, MD, JD, EdD, PhD or terminal degree in any health profession field is required.
